If your school has these products in your tenant, admins can choose to enable Minecraft: Education Edition for students using Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5. From the left-hand menu in Microsoft Admin Center, select Users. From the Users list, select the users you want to add or remove for Minecraft: Education Edition access. Add the relevant A3 or A5 license if it hasn't been assigned already.
After selecting the appropriate product license, ensure Minecraft: Education Edition is toggled on or off, depending on if you want to add or remove Minecraft: Education Edition from the user (it will be on by default).

Users in a Microsoft verified academic institution account will have access to the free trial limited logins for Minecraft: Education Edition. This grants faculty accounts 25 free logins and student accounts 10 free logins. To purchase direct licenses, see Minecraft: Education Edition - direct purchase.
Qualified education institutions can purchase Minecraft: Education Edition licenses through their Microsoft channel partner. Schools need to be part of the Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) volume licensing program. Educational institutions should work with their channel partner to determine which Minecraft: Education Edition licensing offer is best for their institution. The process looks like this:
means either the GNU General Public License, Version 2.0, the GNU Lesser General Public License, Version 2.1, the GNU Affero General Public License, Version 3.0, or any later versions of those licenses.
The licenses granted in this Section 2 are the only rights granted under this License. No additional rights or licenses will be implied from the distribution or licensing of Covered Software under this License. Notwithstanding Section 2.1(b) above, no patent license is granted by a Contributor:
You may not remove or alter the substance of any license notices (including copyright notices, patent notices, disclaimers of warranty, or limitations of liability) contained within the Source Code Form of the Covered Software, except that You may alter any license notices to the extent required to remedy known factual inaccuracies.
5.3. In the event of termination under Sections 5.1 or 5.2 above, all end user license agreements (excluding distributors and resellers) which have been validly granted by You or Your distributors under this License prior to termination shall survive termination.
Mozilla Foundation is the license steward. Except as provided in Section 10.3, no one other than the license steward has the right to modify or publish new versions of this License. Each version will be given a distinguishing version number.
You may distribute the Covered Software under the terms of the version of the License under which You originally received the Covered Software, or under the terms of any subsequent version published by the license steward.
If you create software not governed by this License, and you want to create a new license for such software, you may create and use a modified version of this License if you rename the license and remove any references to the name of the license steward (except to note that such modified license differs from this License).
An IT administrator manages licenses for your organization's users in the Store for Education. This article provides information on how to set up users at your organization to access Minecraft Education.
Note: You may see multiple lines for Minecraft Education. This indicates many different purchases of Minecraft Education have been made. Additionally, one line for Minecraft Education shows "Unlimited" licenses available. This indicates the trial version of Minecraft Education is available to an unlimited number of users in your organization. You do not need to assign trial licenses to users as this is a legacy offer. Free trials logins are automatically granted to users of a Microsoft verified academic institution. This grants 25 free logins per faculty and 10 free logins per student account.
Auto-assigning licenses automatically assigns a license to a user in your school when they sign into Minecraft Education with their Office 365 credentials. This is especially useful when there are many users, for example a school district that has purchased licenses for all the faculty and students.
Licenses can be managed manually on an individual or group level. To be able to manually assign licenses, you must add users in the Microsoft Admin Center before they appear in the Microsoft Store for Education, see the Add users and assign licenses at the same time article in the Microsoft 365 admin center help page for information on how to add users.
